Anita Tourisia's path to private investigation began in Indonesia, where she became a child singing star at age six and a celebrity by age nine. In 1974, she came to the United States seeking the freedom to build a life away from the intense public attention she had experienced from an early age.
While pursuing singing and acting opportunities in California, Anita declined to participate in what she describes as the entertainment game. In 1975, LAPD Sergeant Joe Ward recruited her to perform undercover work for the department. She served in that role for approximately one year before returning to music and touring with a cover band throughout the Midwest, Alaska, and Canada until 1983.
As musical styles changed, Anita chose a new professional direction. She attended a private detective academy and began her investigative career in 1991, handling undercover assignments, surveillance, and witness interviews. She later trained numerous investigators, including Paul Blaum, who became an accomplished surveillance investigator.
Anita and Paul married and built an S-Corporation that served private clients and accepted subcontracted assignments from investigation companies. Today, ATB Investigations brings that extensive field-investigation background together with cybersecurity capabilities, supporting modern cases involving both physical and digital evidence.
